Sinjin's Story - Timeline
1957
Sinjin was born on May 7, 1957. Soon after, his beach volleyball story began.
1976
At 18 years old, Sinjin began competing for UCLA's Divison I indoor volleyball team. His freshman year, UCLA won the national championship.
1976
In 1976, Sinjin began competing as a professional beach volleyball player.
Won first open championship.
1978
Sinjin's Junior year at UCLA, he was selected to the all tournament team and selected as All American.
First beach tournament win.
1979
As a Senior, Sinjin lead UCLA to yet another national championship title. Sinjin was selected to the all tournament team again along with being voted the championship's most outstanding player&MVP
1979
First Manhattan Beach Open title with Jim Menges.
THE
80's
Sinjin played with Karch Kiraly for 3 years.
He then played with Randy Stokolos for 10 years to become the most successful team in the history of the sport.

80's
Sinjin helped form and was on the board of directors for the AVP and served as President. Also helped develop and build the world tour for the FIVB and served as president of the BEACH VOLLEYBALL WORLD COUNCIL.

The prime of Sinjin's career. Sinjin reached
100 beach volleyball tournament wins.
Under Sinjin's direction, the FIVB world tour grows with its sights on the Olympic games.
1996
OLYMPICS
Sinjin helped get the sport into the Olympic games and at the age of 39 competed in the 1996 Olympic Games.
2001
Retirement has come. Sinjin retired from competition in 2001 after 25 years at the age of 44.
Sinjin founded Beach Volleyball Camps and Sinjin Beach Club.
2003
Inducted as a player in the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.
In 2003.
Sinjin also founded the National Collegiate Sand Volleyball Assosiation "NCSVA" for all college kids to enjoy the game.
